Two Boys and a bug, Family M

I met up with family M last weekend in historic Dublin, after a little schedule mix-up the day before that would have landed us in Yellow Springs at a new session location for me. All worked out, the boys had some play time at Youngs Dairy on Saturday and then we met up on Sunday in one of my favorite places for a session. So much variety within walking distance.

Big brother C played a little hard to get with my camera, but still delivered some super-sweet smiles.

Love these two shots of little C... he's gonna be a heart breaker.

Here's a picture within a picture...

And the full image with Scioto River flowing behind.

Finally, here's the evidence, I touched a BUG! And let it crawl on my camera. These are the lengths I go ...

Six weeks old times two, Twins E & E

I had the honor of photographing six week old twins last week. E and his sister E are so sweet, still so tiny. They are just over 8 lbs each now. I will also tell you that you that their session made me so nervous going in. Not that I do not love 6 week old babies, but it is not a particularly easy age to photograph and then multiple that by two. They did give me some fussiness, but also some beautiful peaceful moments too.

We didn't quite manage the exact same pose from them in this series, but I think these are too cute together... twins are still individuals after all. Sister E on the left, and brother E on the right.

And I was pretty excited to get to try out this little combination of diaper covers that I had purchased about two months ago specifically for twin sessions.

Holiday Gift Idea No. FOUR!

The charming keepsake album was one of my very first products and remains a favorite today. They come in two sizes (5x5 or 8x8) and in lots of fun colors, including classic black too. Albums must be ordered by November 28 to meet holiday ordering deadlines.

Baby A and Momma C

More from this session to come... but simply had to give a quick preview with these two images. The first of baby A and his momma... and the second of baby A looking up at his momma. Nine weeks old and so sweet.

Superhero W, and his family L

Before sessions I usually ask for little hints about a child's personality such as a silly songs that might catch their attention, or favorite characters. W's momma told me he liked superheroes. Then when I arrived and he was sporting his very cool spiderman shirt, I knew he really, really liked superheros. He is quick to tell me that Spiderman is his favorite... and was beaming when we agreed to these pictures up in his room at the end of our session.

Don't worry mom, we caught some Peter Parker style too... out of uniform big smile beaming.

These three are pretty cute together too... feeling lucky to have photographed so many happy families lately!

We couldn't miss out on the first baby of the family... pup C. She joined in at the end for a few to complete the session.

She even smiled great big for me once she knew she was center stage!

PS. I am working on displaying my blog images bigger. Blogger made some changes recently and I've been frustrated by how fuzzy the images are appearing on my blog. You can click each to see them a little bigger and clearer, until I'm able to find a slow spell long enough to implement the bigger display.

A New Display for Me

Every once in a while, I get on a kick and I have to go and swap out all of my frames and move everything around the house. Last week was one of those, and I ended up with this above my fireplace. I love these frames! Wednesday is the last day to order to guarentee holiday delivery. Call or email for details on these perfectly charming frames.

PS... please ignore the cars that somehow invaded my display space. Boys!

Happiness, Family L

First, let me just say that I'm pretty sure that J is the happiest little person I have ever photographed. His smiles absolutely melt me, so pure so geniune.

And his eyes are gorgeous blue... good work mom on the blue sweater, makes 'em pop even more.

Then I watch the family together, and I know why he is so happy. They just radiate love.

Finally this session so perfectly captures why I adore urban areas for sessions. I sometimes feel like I have to do so much convincing for families to agree to hit the streets of an uptown area. I remember doing the sales pitch with K, too. But look at the variety of fun, beautiful locations all captured on a walk around a single city block. Oh, and yes... we even found leaves! Love this last capture. K and J look so happy together.

PS. Cannot wait for J to meet his new baby brother or sister next year! This is one lucky baby to be born into such a happy family!

A Fashionable Family, Family S

Check out this momma's amazzzing sense of fashion. I'm blown away, every detail was perfect. Some photographers have fashion consultants that they take on sessions with them, B is tempting me to find a way to hire her!

Last year, G had a gap between his teeth for our session. This year he looks so grown-up.

C is touch envious that her brother landed my homepage slideshow and wanted to work extra hard to land her spot as my new model. I think she nailed it.

R is one of my toughest little clients to photograph. She gives me lots of grumpy face, and doesn't sit still very long. Love this one of her playing in the leaves.

Baby C isn't such a baby anymore! Love his blue eyes, just like momma's.

This is one of my favorite from their session with just the girls:

Pretty sure momma B also just won my cool photo client of the year competition. A few weeks back I realized the time change was a week earlier than I thought, after a bit of panic, I emailed her explaining we'd need to pick a new day that 5p was not gonna work and my 4p slot was booked that day. She said no problem. Let's do 2:30... kids outta school early and all. Glad she did, the weather and lighting was perfect on Friday!

And here's the first one in black and white. You can just tell how much these siblings love each other.

Again, looooove the fashion. The dresses melt me, the color scheme is pure fall perfection, C's boots are just plain too much... oh, and did you see the back of B's shirt. wow!

An Adorable Family, Family L

I had a jam packed day today, and tomorrow continues with more sessions. But I had to take a quick moment to share this little family fresh off my camera. Aren't they adorable?

His smiles just scream, love me!

More to come...

My Model Family, Family B

Those of you that follow my blog on a regular basis will recognize this stunning family. I've been photographing them since I started, actually even before I officially started my business. Today they were troopers... it was chilly and they left coats at home at my request, when our first location was just a touch too sunny they took me up on a little trespassing adventure (I use trespassing lightly since I'm sure we were perfectly legal, but the kids thought it was more fun to be breaking the rules) and like magic all six of them looked right in my camera over and over again. {Click the family images to see them a touch bigger.}

Plus Mom and Dad joined in the photos! Hooray! Too many of my clients are opting out of images lately, and I wish they wouldn't. I know you take pictures of your kids, but how many opportunities to do you have for your entire family to be in one image?

And same image in black and white...

Kiddo C:

Kiddo A:

Kiddo E:

We didn't snap individual of sweet little B today, since we grabbed some a few weeks ago and more to come once she is sitting really well on her own.

PS. All of these images were grabbed in just over 30 minutes! While my Out and Abouts and other family sessions are booked this fall, I do still have openings for some holiday mini-famiy sessions like this one! Email for details.
